Women in combat In the article, “Military women in Combat: Why making it official matters” composed by Jena McGregor, the author clearly makes a strong stance regarding women in the military. One point being, that at least 14,00 new jobs were made unrestricted, while 250,00 jobs in the military still remain restricted to men only. The main point in the article is difficult to point out at first , because the author seems to be in favor for women’s advancement in the military without combat and gives example to support her argument. McGregor doesn’t seem to necessarily take a direct side when it comes to whether women belong in hand to hand combat, but has a strong support of women being able to advance to higher ranks. Yet clearly has an opposition for allowing women to have an active role in the military by reducing the restrictions and exclusions of women and making our military more diverse. A strong point was
