Jenifer Observation
Today was Jenifer's last visit with SOGI Staff. Jenifer stated that she was feeling all kinds of bitter sweet emotions about getting to bring Arianna home with her. Jenifer was prepared as usual with a lot of food and crafts for Arianna to do. Arianna's demeanor was different during this visit. Anytime something did not happed just the way Arianna wanted Arianna would begin to fake cry to Jenifer. EV Staff and Jenifer believe that Arianna is just not sure how to process all the changes at this time. EV Staff let Jenifer know it is important to show her a lot of love, but to make sure she does not reward bad behavior because that will only make things harder for her in the future.

Jenifer mentioned that she is going with Arianna to her daycare/pre-school in hopes to make here feel more comfortable about staring back there on Monday. Arianna has expressed in the past that she does not want to go back that school. Jenifer believes it may be because that is where DHS pulled her out of when things were going bad with her ex-husband. Jenifer stated that she is anxious but hopeful that everything will fall into place in here life. Jenifer state that, " she still has to work, so she helps Arianna will adjust well with that". Jenifer is excited for her maternity leave, so she can spend time bonding with both of her children.

The only thing EV Staff is concerned about is Jenifer possibly letting Arianna run the show, and not saying no to some things because of her feeling guilty about Arianna being in foster

The fact that her child was born illegitimately, meant that she had to give him up when he was very young, also makes the reader feel compassion for The Woman. Jennet was not even allowed to visit her beloved son and was forced to live ‘hundreds of miles away’. This obviously deeply upset her as ‘she threatened violently’ when she was told she could not see Nathanial. We also feel that it must have pained her that it was her own sister that was keeping her…

Exiled from their homeland, Elena and Bern mark on their journey to find shelter in the frigid temperatures of Northern Canada. Jenn Griffin is dressed up in many layers of clothing, mittens, winter coat, as well as winter boots. The physical appearance of Jenn Griffin personifies the harsh conditions Elena and Bern endure while on their journey. Elena, a lot frailer than Bern, is overwhelmed by the freezing temperatures and admits defeat, “Bernadette, just leave me. I don’t want to go on” (Nolan 4). However, Bern refuses to leave her, “I am not going on without you” (4). This is also evident during the theatric performance as Bern forcefully tries to pull Elena along with her eventually persuading her to move along with her. Bern deeply cares about Elena and her unwillingness to leave her behind demonstrates a close bond between her and Elena. Bern remains hopeful that there is light at the end of the tunnel as the move along on their journey.…

He tells her that “nothing was worse for a nervous patient than to give way to such fantasies”. He puts the narrator in a “nursery” as if she is a small child. He refers to her as a “blessed little goose”. He also tries to keep her away from all contact with people. He tells her that her baby makes her “so nervous” and when she wants her cousins to visit he tells her that “he would as soon put fireworks in my pillow-case as to let me have those stimulating people about now”. The narrator describes the wallpaper as “torn off in spots and it sticketh closer than a brother,” which talks about her relationship with John which is strong but they still have a few problems. Also she says, “must have had perseverance as well as hatred” which means that she believes in John and thinks that he is doing what’s best for her however she does have a feeling of hatred sometimes for him because he keeps her locked in and doesn’t treat her as a normal…

Arianna’s test performance and emotional/social status was the focus of this evaluation due to a concern with her performance in her Math class. Her personality information was gathered from a parent and a student interview, test results, and behavioral observations during the administration of her cognitive and achievement assessments and her interview. Her responses during the interview were that of a typically developing seven year old in the first grade. She seemed to be able to explain her responses while she was thinking through the answers and she was able to explain rules and expectations. Arianna appears to be confident in most situations; for example, when she has a correct answer or she did well on a school assignment she was able…
