In the beginning of the film, pathos is strongly evident. The emotional attempt is directed to the audience right from the start. During the first three minutes of the documentary, the speaker talks about being pregnant with a daughter. The speaker goes on to say that getting the news of having a daughter is what started her on this path because she worries about her daughter growing up in in a society with gender inequalities.
