In comparison with JetBlue, when you’re flying with American Airlines there are some fees and restrictions you must keep in mind if you’re planning to travel with your pet(s). For a checked pet within and between the U.S and Canada, Mexico, Central and South America and the Caribbean the costs would start at $200 per kennel with an exception for Brazil, the kennel will then cost $150. Whereas, with JetBlue your pet(s) are considered as carry-ons and there is only a $100 fee for the kennel and your pet flies free. American Airlines has a cat and dog breed restriction when flying with your pet. Cat breeds that are not allowed on American Airlines are: Persain, Burmese, Exotic Shorthair and Himalayan. Dog breeds that are not allowed on American Airlines are: Shar Pei, Mastiff of all breeds, Pitbulls, Spaniels etc. Comparing this to JetBlue, there are no restrictions on animal allowed on the plane. Dog breed restrictions also depend on where you are flying to. While the breed may be allowed on the plane, the country might not allow you to enter. While American Airlines provides you with a list of restrictions, they do not provide you with a list of
