Johannine Salvation Exercise (Test #2, Part #2)
My Salvation Through Jesus Christ I know that I am saved. I am saved because Jesus died on the cross for my sins (Matthew 27:32-66). I accepted Him into my life and am saved. I am saved by faith through the grace of God, (Ephesians 2:8 “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God”). I am “A Born again Christian” (John 3:1-21) and know in my heart that I am saved (Romans 10:10). I know that my works do not get me to Heaven, (Ephesians 2:9) however I also love Christ and want to do my best for Him (John 14:15). Knowing in my heart that I am saved by faith and grace through Jesus Christ, after accepting His gift that He gave on the cross, I do not doubt my Salvation. There are groups of people who feel that since we are saved through grace, faith, and the blood of Jesus that we cannot lose our Salvation. Other groups of Christians however believe that you can lose your Salvation ( “Value your Salvation with fear and trembling” Philippians 2:12, NIV)The conclusion I have come to is based on how I am saved. My prayer to God is that I would never do anything to question whether or not I am saved, that I can be a living example of who Christ is through Sanctification, (1 Timothy 4:5) to live for Him, and to always be sure of where I am going when I die. As long as I ask God’s forgiveness for my sins daily, rely on Him, and live for Him based on faith, grace, and forgiveness I don’t question where eternity is for me after death.

John Foulcher’s poems make us ponder, if there is any hope for humanity and is there anyone that is truly innocent? His poems reveal to us the violence and brutality of the nature we live within and for us to question as to our own morality. In this essay I will analyse all six of his poems of which I studied. However I will only discuss the poems “For The Fire” and “Martin and The Hand Grenade” in detail.…

Women have long played an important role in the shaping the nation of Israel which has shaped the Christian church of today. Not only were they daughters, wives, concubines, mothers, and grandmothers of men but they were also special agents of the Lord. It was the Hebrew midwives Shiphrah and Puah who refused the Pharaoh’s order to kill all males that preserved the life of Moses. (Exodus 1) It was the widow of Zerephath who offered food and lodging to Elijah. (1 Kings) There have been women who prophesied and served as spokeswomen for God such as Miriam (Exodus 15) and Huldah. (2 Kings 22; 2 Chron. 24) There were women such as Deborah who served as both a prophet and a judge doling out justice from under a palm tree for the people of Ephraim during the rule of Jabin. (Judges 4) Women such as these received the call of God to serve Him in the roles he directed, roles which were typically filled by men.…

This brings me to my final point. We are saved from our sins by faith. When we hear the gospel, we must have faith and believe that the word is true. Then must trust in the Lord our God, fully. The final act involves repentance. This does not just merely mean to feel sorry for what we have done. We have to actually have a “change of mind” and turn from our wicked…

Without a doubt, all that Almighty God requires of us is the faithful observance of His Commandments. And strictly speaking, it is possible for a believer to be saved under every circumstance and in every situation, since sufficient grace to keep God's Commandments will never be denied a person. Yet a Christian who turns a deaf ear to the specific call of the Lord may expose himself or herself to eternal ruin-or to say the least, runs the risk of never reaching the heights of spiritual perfection, unless he or she embraces the grace of one's particular calling in life.…
