A man becomes a sinner only when he consciously and voluntarily sins, thus appropriating the sin nature of Adam. The idea that Christ wold save and then allow a convert to lose what he did not merit nor achieved in repentance, causes one to question not only His work, but also His character. Means that God first decreed to save the elect, then He decreed that Christ would die and provide salvation for them. Means the decree to save came after a person had sinned and after Christ had died for him. God decreed who would be saved (the elect) and the act of salvation in the same decree. John Wesley, John Fletcher, Francis Asbury, Charles

It seems as though in today’s age and time that Satan’s existence is more real and prevalent not only among society, but among Christians, as well. But, it isn’t the talk of Satan that is alarming so much as the type of attention and talk that he is receiving. Our modern day society has transformed him from being the evil, factual being that we know him as into a sinister, more humors fictional character used to make ‘great’ movies and entertainment.…

This brings me to my final point. We are saved from our sins by faith. When we hear the gospel, we must have faith and believe that the word is true. Then must trust in the Lord our God, fully. The final act involves repentance. This does not just merely mean to feel sorry for what we have done. We have to actually have a “change of mind” and turn from our wicked…

Historically, the doctrine of Calvinism arose out of the teaching of John Calvin. Five point Calvinism as it is exposed by its followers today was not taught by Calvin, but instead implied by those who carried his teachings to what they considered to be their logical conclusions. Calvinism is often called Reformed theology, and is founded in John Calvin's Institutes of the Christian Religion. The Puritans and independent Presbyterians of Great Britain were heavily influenced by Calvin's writings, but some of its greatest followers were Dutch. Most Baptist, Presbyterian, and Reformed churches base their doctrine off of John Calvin's teachings. Calvinism can be summarized using the acronym TULIP, which stands for the following:…

As a Christian, I believe that salvation is a free gift of God the Father that is received by man through their personal faith in the Son of God, Jesus Christ and His sacrifice for the sin of the world. I believe the Bible when it states that “The wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord”. I believe that man is justified by grace thorugh faith and not of works. AS staed by the Apostle Paul in the Book of Romans Chapter 4 verse 5 “To him that worketh not, but believeth on Him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness”. I lastly believe that all true believers, once saved, are kept secure in Jesus Christ…

Without a doubt, all that Almighty God requires of us is the faithful observance of His Commandments. And strictly speaking, it is possible for a believer to be saved under every circumstance and in every situation, since sufficient grace to keep God's Commandments will never be denied a person. Yet a Christian who turns a deaf ear to the specific call of the Lord may expose himself or herself to eternal ruin-or to say the least, runs the risk of never reaching the heights of spiritual perfection, unless he or she embraces the grace of one's particular calling in life.…

The work of repentance is the changing of one’s mind and the moving of one’s direction from sin to God. This work is vital in the life of a believer as well as necessary for the initial point of salvation. Charles Finney defines repentance as, “a turning from sin to holiness, or more strictly, from state of consecration to God, is and must be the turning, the change of mind, or the repentance that is required of all sinners. Nothing less can constitute a virtuous repentance, and nothing more can be required” (Finney 301). As seen in this quote, repentance and faith go hand in hand to produce the work of salvation in our lives. This change of heart is not a good work that earns salvation, but it is a mean by which salvation occurs.…
