He was a connector, a salesman, and a maven. He was a connector because he had so many connections to so many people, being in the public eye already due to his infamous role in “The Beatles”. Malcolm Gladwell describes connectors as the social equivalent of a computer network hub. They usually know people across an array of social, cultural, professional, and economic circles, and make a habit of introducing people who work or live in different circles. They are people who "link us up with the world...people with a special gift for bringing the world together. John had this gift as he reached out to his fans to help save themselves from all the destruction in the world. John was also a very powerful salesman, but as his famous quote about selling peace to the people states, John had this great power to capture people’s attention. He used this skill to “sell” peace to the world. Salesmen are "persuaders", charismatic people with powerful negotiation skills. They tend to have an indefinable trait that goes beyond what they say, which makes others want to agree with them.(Wolpe, D. September 24, 2013).
