Jim Morrison Research Paper

Jim Morrison, an artist and writer, had a very struggling childhood. He was an intelligent and goal setting child. However on a road trip through New Mexico with his family, he endured a rather tragic event at the age of five. Scattered all across the road, dismembered and unrecognizable figures lay across the highway. A truck full of Indians had gotten into a bad wreck, and many had died. Being rather young, he did not really know what was happening, but he could tell it was bad. Later, this affected the early parts of his life, and became a long lasting nightmare. Some such as, “Light my fire,” “Hello, I love you” and “Riders on the Storm.” However he outgrew the band due to drugs and wild behavior, he then began writing poetry. One of Jim’s quotes were, “The most loving parents and relatives commit murder with smiles on their faces. They force us to destroy the person we really are; a subtle kind of murder.” In life, many people only do things because their parents expect it from them. Sometimes this can destroy the true person that lives within everyone, and who they are meant to be. In some cases it is a sport, job, or lifestyle one has to obey. Sometimes parents want the best for their children and put them in sports or clubs they would rather not be in. This can create tension and sometimes depression. Children start sports and clubs from a very young age. Some such as, biddy ball, softball, sometimes even 4H. Some may like it as they are younger, giving them something to do. But throughout the years kids can come to outgrow the sport they once loved, or the sport their parents love. However one sticks with it because they do not want to let down their parents. Some are too afraid to tell their parents they do not want to do
