John Sampson: Giant Aldabra Tortoise
It was the year of 1751 and John Sampson (a British explorer who visited Africa and then went to the Islands east of Africa) was visiting the Aldabra Atoll and looking for Giant Aldabra Tortoises to take home as trophies. John Sampson was a very independent person and wanted to do everything quickly. He was wandering towards a mountain when he found an Aldabra Tortoise, disposed of it, and then took its shell. As he jumped with glee he landed in soft ground and then fell into a hole. He tumbled and tumbled into darkness. Then suddenly a torch lit and then another one, and then one after that and so on and so forth. He was walking when he came to a small square room with many vases. It was dark and he could barely see. He wanted to get out of there because he was frightened about how the torches lit without him touching them. He couldn’t see the wall in front of him. He saw a rock right by him and he decided to throw it, to move off the echo. He threw the rock and waited until... CRASH! Then it seemed as if he ha just been thrown into an inferno, but it was just a lot of torches that had lit around him. He looked up and saw a Giant Aldabra Tortoise, but this was more than giant, it was extra, extra giant. It was 20 feet tall. …show more content…

He was shrinking and shrinking until, he was an Aldabra Giant Tortoise. “ I am going to teleport you to the other side of the Island if you can get to me before you die, I’ll make you human again, Goodbye” ,Laughed the Tortoise.
