A Hero's Journey
Running in the forest as fast as she could; as she was tired of running, she tripped on a log and fell on her arm. She was tired, and out of breath; she wanted to give up. As she got up, holding her arm, she looked behind her and saw it. A tall, dark shadow that was moving towards her. She began to become paralyzed, and very still. She felt her body get cold, fingers go numb, and her legs give out. Her eyes went dark- and couldn’t see a thing- she has passed out. When she awoke she was still in the forest. Though daytime now, it was very dark, she began walking to her house but she was lost. Then she heard a noise. A rustle in the woods- and she began to panic. Around a large tree, she sees the shadow again, this time it was smaller and seemed …show more content…
But, as she turned around slowly- she sees the tall dark figure once more- coming closer, and closer. She turned around to look at the other spirit but it vanished, so she was left alone with the evil presence that lurked before her. As she looked ahead- in the darkness of the woods, it kept on creeping nearer, and nearer. The closer this figure got to her the more terrified she grew, she could feel her face turn white as snow, hands turn cold as ice, and her eyes filling with the terror of the thought of what this thing could do! So, she leaps up, and runs away as fast as her legs could carry her, from the woods to a meadow she has ran- but then she stops. She figures that she was alone because she has run farther than anyone she has ever seen. Then, walking slowly down the meadow, she sees a light. A bright light coming from the woods she had just escaped- she was curious. It wasn’t a good idea, she knew that. Yet, without …show more content…
There was no escape, she was trapped. She figured there had to be another way out, so she left the long line of trees, and continued her journey to find safety. Walking alone in the dark, dark woods was bad enough, but the feeling of being watched that scared her even more. Also the feeling is knowing that, she might not be alone after all. The shadow was there with her, and it wasn’t going away, no matter how much she wanted it to. She heard the voice in her mind, and thought she was going insane, but she knew that it was all real. The voice kept whispering “I will not be ignored, I am one of you, I am with you, I am you. You will not escape me. I am everywhere” and with that, she wanted to give up. She could not take the pressure she felt in her mind anymore, she has gone mad. Every time she stepped on a branch and it snapped she would get paranoid and scream. Being alone has changed her for the worse. She is tired and scared. She needs some rest, but she can’t sleep knowing someone could be watching her. The shadow was out there somewhere, she just didn’t know where. So, walking in the forest, screaming for help, she finally hears a voice, a person’s voice echoing in the distance. It sounds like a little girl, saying “someone help me- I need someones help” She ran as fast as she could- over branches, past trees, through bushes, and she sees a short, black haired, pale
