After someone enlists into the military they have to attend boot camp for seven to nine weeks. This can be stressful because these people have to leave their family with little to no communication. When anyone joins any branch of the military it can cause stress in multiple ways. One way it causes stress is the hard work and constant pushing and thrive to get through everything. Another example of stress that comes along with the military is being in the same place for a very long time, depending on what your occupation is in the military. Military can affect the family as well, especially if he or she has children. For example, the soldier would have to pass not one but two urine tests, also they cannot have more than one child under the age of eight-teen. More qualifications would be they must have a high school diploma. The soldier must also be people-oriented, dedicated, resourceful, and versatile. Boot camp, or currently referenced as basic training can be very difficult for many people trying to join the military. During you nine weeks at boot camp civilians do many workouts and drills. For the navy the soldier will have to complete a timed one and a half mile run, or a five hundred meters’ swim. Also, during the seven to nine weeks they will have to complete a 2min push up and curl up test. When boot camp is nearly to the end to become a U.S. Navy Soldier, people have to come this far, but last but not least they will have to pass a sit and reach test. The test is to see the civilian's flexibility and how much you can handle.
