Joining Upward Bound

wish to join Upward Bound because I believe it will help me have a brighter future in life and a better chance of getting into a college. I feel like if I get accepted into Upward Bound I will most likely succeed throughout red for college. Also, due to this program, I could start new friendships with people I only see in the hallways and they could eventually be the ones I look to when I struggle with specific subjects. My last aspiration is to be in UB because of the close bonds I have observed the other students have with each other. Upward Bound can open the door for me to get into college by providing tutoring in order to improve my grades and excel my GPA. Staying at the summer program will also give me an idea of how college will
be like in the future. Being able to stay at the dorms, having to walk around the campus, and eating how a college student would at the cafeteria, will definitely give me a glimpse of how college life will be. Because of my social attributions, I feel like I can contribute to the program by sharing with others the the benefits they can receive from UB. If I were to get accepted into the program, I could serve as an example for future kids that consider being in Upward Bound. I could elaborate on my experiences and provide guidance for them as well.
