In order to help Liz and her boyfriend a package of support is needed to help them with the different obstacles they are going through at this moment.

I have to take in account that Liz would like to be with her boyfriend so I am going to support them on the right path and provide them with the best help possible. I have given Liz the opportunity to promote her rights and what she requires. Everyone has the right to their own choice. I understand that due to her boyfriend’s aggressive and abusive behaviour this puts Lizzie at risk, but she has chosen to stick with him and help him overcome his problems. With her boyfriend’s drug intake I have referred her to different organisations where he can get help to stop smoking cannabis and speak to people about his problems and illness. One of these includes a drug counsellor and they have got the choice whether they want to be seen at home or have the opportunity to go in themselves.
I will have also provided them with leaflets that they can take home and read later on. So for e.g. when her boyfriend is aggressive towards her there are numbers on the leaflets that she can ring up for advice to make herself feel better and for her to know that there is help out there 24 hours a day. The domestic violence unit will be able to help promote Lizzies rights. By her attending the scheme this will give her the opportunity of choice and independence whether she wants to be with mark or not. It will also encourage her to bring mark along with her so they both understand how to treat each other to maintain a healthy relationship
