Jrotc Informative Speech

Its surprising how time passes by so quick in just a hundred years. Even though it been only a hundred years its not that long ago. Of course change is inevitable and nothing is going to be permanent. JROTC is still about military leadership which is not going away. What's important is that JROTC is standing tall and hopefully still around for another hundred years. In the year 1819, a man named Alden Partridge founded the American Literary, Scientific and Military Academy at Norwich,Vermont. Right then and there is where he first started the system of ROTC which is the combination of civilian and military studies. The academy was later renamed Norwich University. The reason that ROTC stands is because it shows the military, civilian, and communication skills needed if perusing a military career in any of the branches with a chance of obtaining a higher rank. The university became popular and led the creation of other military schools. The National Defense Act of 1916 was passed by president Woodrow Wilson. I feel that JROTC will get way cooler riffles and maybe more equipment with very high censored technology. To me I take JROTC very seriously and I think its a great program. I just really hope people take it a lot more serious in the future because I despise that people make complete jokes out of it. For those that are in the program I really hope they are there for a reason and not just wasting time. I don't get why just some random people get placed in the program and still be there after a whole school year. I want to believe that one day the world will be at peace and that having militarism are not useful anymore ,but that just a fantasy because we will never be in
