Judging People In The Gospel Of Matthew

In the Bible, I was able to fully analyze a chapter in the Gospel of Matthew. The chapter that I picked was Matthew 7:1-6. In this chapter, the title is called “Judging Others”, in which God teaches us about judgment towards others. In my opinion, the way that this was explained made a lot of sense. It made sense because it gave reasoning to why spirituality is prevalent in certain people. People like myself have been taught that judging others is not a well habit. This chapter goes into details by explaining Gods reasoning towards judging and how it is not beneficial towards his people. In the beginning of this chapter, the author of the Bible states, “Stop judging, that you may not be judged” (Matthew 7:1). Based on my general knowledge about
In chapter seven, verse two also depicts the reasoning behind the judgment of others. It states, “For as you judge, so will you be judged, and the measure with which you will measure will be measured out to you” (Matthew 7:2). This verse is also another reason behind Gods word of judgment by how He views judgment. From my understanding, this verse means that if you judge then you will be judged no matter what situation it is in. Overall, judging others is not something God want us to practice. He wants us to love one another without having a negative thought towards others. Based off of this chapter, it basically states that there is a correspondence between the actions towards one’s fellows and His conducts towards one actions. The strengths of this chapter were explaining how people can be hypocrites if they talk about others judging when they judge. Another strength is knowing that we can be only judged by God. The weaknesses will be the explaining of what God will judge you by. Overall, this chapter gave a clear understanding of what judgment is and how God want us to know exactly why we cannot judge
