Ed’s personality is irritable which means he can be frustrated easily. Although many may argue that Judy is most irritable of the two, but she is self-critical more than she is hot-tempered. This is the overall difference between the parents of Christopher. Furthermore there is much more differences. One very critical difference between the two is the fact that one of them is an action taker. To explain they both wish to change the life they have and wish they would make important changes at one point of the story. But only one the two chooses to make an important change in their life; may be the most important events of the novel. Judy Boone, being frustrated with Christopher and his father Ed Boone decides to leave and go to London to have an life with someone other than her own family. This gives evidence that she is an action taker and a clear claim that Ed is not similar to her. Although there is believed good in the parents of Christopher; most deeply in the father ( pg.109).
