Chris Mccandless Compare And Contrast Essay

Chris McCandless and Adam Shepard had a goal set out to accomplish. Both of their goals were similar but very different at the same time. McCandless wanted to go to Alaska for his dream. While Shepard wanted to prove that anything is possible if you have the right kind of attitude along with motivation and determine. How they both did it was very different from each other. McCandless had a major impact on who he met along the way to Alaska. While Shepard didn’t have that much of an impact on people because of the way and area he did it in. McCandless wasn’t that hungry for money cause he saw the world for only needing the basic essentials in life. Shepard on the other hand had to get money to prove that you won’t be stuck in the same place forever if you are willing to work hard enough. They both achieved their goals in the end but with different outcomes.
For Chris the way he started his journey was a rather unique way of doing it. Chris was a smart person who had finished high school and everyone thought that he was going to a nice law school. Instead Chris gave all his money to charity, took all the things he owned and left without telling anybody. Then when he got to a place that he felt was right he burned
To him it was simple because that's how he say life. But for others it might seem a little harder because of their view on life. McCandless purpose was that living was all about to doing what you want with your life. But this isn't easy for everyone. Shepard’s purpose was also simple yet kinda hard to understand why he did it. For shepherd his purpose was that money is needed to get to places in life and without money it's very hard or not possible at all. For Shepard's purpose it’s more relatable to then McCandless purpose. Because for Shepard money is a easy thing to relate to because everyone needs or wants money. When that's the case more people can understand him more better then not wanting any
