Julie Inventory Case
.

A) My suggestion for Julie is that she needs to plan how she is going to manage that equipment. Also, she needs to prepare a large room where she can store them or put into use. B) When she receives the equipment, she needs to make sure that she checks all the materials and equipment against the order to make certain she receives the right order. For example, she needs to look for the size, color, the quantity, and the quality of the items. Moreover, as a director who has the responsibility to prepare the budget so she must record every single item she receives include the price, the date of the purchase, and basic description. She needs to create a spreadsheet that has each item number, followed by columns that indicate the quantity. Furthermore, using an Inventory management software can be a useful way to keep on track about what equipment are available in the center. Having a well-stocked inventory is a critical component of keeping the child care center running smoothly. That helps the director know about what equipment is available in the center or how much-damaged equipment needs to be repaired or reordered.

For instance, Sink, toilet, and fountains must be cleaned daily. Also, indoor and outdoor equipment should be checked and repaired or repainted frequently. My goal is to provide a clean healthy environment that meets each child’s physical needs. One of the ways I do this is by supervising children at all times by sight and sound even during nap times. Making sure all outlets are covered so children can’t access them. I make sure inside as well as outside there is nothing children can harm themselves on such as sharp objects or small items they can choke on. I ensure that all chemicals and cleaning supplies are put away out of the reach of children or stored in locked cabinets.
