Karate Kid Essay

Karate kid is a fun family movie made in 1984 Directed by John Avildsen, starring Ralph Macchio who was in his 20’s at the time who is Daniel Larsson, Noriyuki "Pat" Morita as Mr. Miyagi, Elisabeth Shue as Ali Daniel’s girlfriend, Randee Heller as Lucille Larsson who is Daniel’s Mum. I believe that the movie karate kid does not show a good anti-bulling message as Bulling affects everyone, Bulling never stops unless you do something about it and Bulling Affects everyone mentally and physically.
Firstly, Bulling affect everyone, the first scene that we see these bullies in is when Daniel and his new friend are down at the beach, the main bully Jonnie started being aggressive to Ali because he wanted to talk about their previous relationship. Jonnie then ends up smashing her beatbox on the ground. Daniel then tries to stand up to Ali causing him to get a karate kick in the chest. The next main scene that we see with the Daniel and bullies, Daniel is tripped by one of the causing him to be kicked out of the soccer team. This just proves that bullying affects everyone. Once a bully knows someone they can hurt or beat that will usually be their new target.
Secondly, Bulling never stop unless you do something to stop it, Daniel was certainly being bullied by these five bullies who trained in a dojo where the teacher told then to “strike hard, strike fast no mercy” only stopped bullying Daniel after Mr.
Miyagi requested them not to hurt Daniel while he is training for the karate tournament. You might be thinking that what I just said means that the bullies stopped bullying him but that is wrong. Still, even after they made that agreement Johnny still wanted to beat Daniel up. This just proves that there is almost no way to stop bullying, as the bullies were still intended to hurt
him.
Thirdly, Bulling Affects everyone mentally and physically, When Daniel was kicked in the leg at the tournament so that he could not continue it put him through lots of pain. The average kid could not do that as they would be in great amounts of pain. Even after he had pushed through this pain, the bullies still taunted Daniel and yell to Johnny “Give him a body bag”. They tormented him so that he would not beat Johnny. This just proves that bullies affect people mentally and physically, most kid could not go through what Daniel when through.
In Conclusion, karate kid does not show a good anti-bulling message as Bulling affects everyone, Bulling never stops unless you do something about it and Bulling Affects everyone mentally and physically. Bullies are like a rash the more you bug, the more they annoy you but if you leave them, they will continue to fester.
