The last example of Max and Kevin working together when Kevin saves Max from his dad. Kevin saves Max from his dad because Max's father kidnaped him. For example, "freak squeezes the trigger and sprays him right in the eyes. " When Kevin fired the water gun into Max's father's eyes, Kevin got Max out of the building and to safety.
Also in this quote, Kevin shows the bravery and the protection of being a friend. So, in the end, Kevin and Max do work together better than apart.

In the beginning of the novel, Cass shows America missing her family because of the letter that her sister, May, sent from home. Cass proves this in the book, “I should’ve been there, I wasn’t though. I was here.” (Cass 5). This illustrates America sacrificing time with her family for her future of being with Maxon. This is a hard sacrifice because America wants to be there for her family and their difficult times. This would be better for the future she wants because she’d get to stay with Maxon. To conclude, America made a hard sacrifice of staying at the palace for the future she wants with Maxon.…

Krakauer wrote that Chris McCandless was, "green, and he overestimated his resilience, but was sufficiently skilled to last for sixteen weeks on a little more than his wits and ten pounds of rice"(Krakauer 182). I feel that McCandless was rather prepared, yet again he never could have been fully prepared for the unexpected. My opinion is that McCandless was vaguely aware of the struggles that he would encounter in the Alaskan wilderness such as his epiphany that "happiness is only real when shared" was realized when his body was dying of starvation. I believed that he found what he was…
