Specific Purpose: To inform the audience how to do a kick flip the proper way without harming yourself
I. Introduction
a. How many of you guys skateboard?
b. Well those that raised their hands im pretty sure the first you skateboarded your fell off couple times before getting use to it.
c. The first time I rode a skateboard I fell because I wanted to do tricks on it.
d. The Kickflip is the hardest of the basic skateboarding tricks, and one of the most popular skateboarding tricks to learn. Learning to kickflip first, before learning other skateboarding flip tricks, will help you in the long run.
e. We need to know the proper techniques of skateboarding before doing tricks, such as learning the Ollie before the kickflip.
(The first thing to learn from all these points is learning Ollie and how the proper way to do a kickflip)
II. Body
A. How to do an Ollie when your new at skate boarding.
1. The Ollie is the first trick that most skateboarders learn. “The Ollie is the foundation of almost all flatland and park skateboarding tricks (Cave).”
a. Once you get the basic concept of learning how to Ollie, than you can do all sorts of other tricks on your skateboard and probably invent a few of your own tricks.
b. If your new to the whole skateboarding take some time to get use to the skateboard, riding it before you want to learn how to Ollie on it.
c. If you are of those people that are aggressive and want to learn Ollie before learning how to skate that’s your decision.
2. The proper way to Ollie
a. The first step to Ollie is?
i. Step 1: “Place your back foot so that the ball of your foot is on the tail of your skateboard (Cave).” ii. Step 2: “Place your front foot between the middle and front trucks of your skateboard. That’s where you want your feet to be right before Ollying. If you find that it works better for you to have your feet shifted to other places
