The management of Kudler’s Fine Foods is interested in integrating technology into their business operations. Kudler’s Fine Foods Management has appointed an accounting firm to look into their information system and provide them with a brief of how to implement the needed changes to it. The management of Kudler’s Fine Foods believes that an upgrade of the information system they currently have would benefit their accounting operations. The accounting firm discovered many troubles in the current information system for Kudler’s Fine Foods. While investigating Kudler’s Fine Foods’ key business

Acquiring a large time lock safe for each store and not having the local bank deliver funds daily would save money from the bank fees. Each store could make a nightly deposit from the sales and keep a small amount of cash in the drawers. This will reduce the chances of theft and it would also make accounting for money easier.
Next, Kudler’s Fine Foods could hire or promote someone to help do the ordering as well as check the inventory. This would allow Kathy to just review orders and give the final approval on them every week before they are sent out to the

It is recommended that Kudler’s Fine Foods acquires software that will allow them to make the corrections and print only one time when printing final checks and sending out direct deposit and 401k info. A network needs to be configured so that all stores can connect as an intranet. This will allow payroll, sales and inventory information to be sent to a central location. All of the aforementioned tasks can be done from a central location as long as all the stores have access. Ordering and inventory can be set up on the same system as the registers.
This system would work by using a keypad that utilizes identifying numbers for each item. This will place them all in a database according to how many are in the store. When the quantity of an item is getting low, the program will auto order it and alert the person doing the ordering. This shows stores what is selling faster than other items and also what is not selling well at all. This type of system is being used in many large retail chains and would be a great investment since Kudler’s Fine Foods would like to expand to more

The implementation of the new industry software will enable the company to keep a better record system for the products they currently provide. The new software will allow the company to dive into more internet based transactions. Kudler will not be able to not only see what the inventory levels look like at the other locations but they will be able to make supply orders while keeping track of what has been ordered and the cost associated with those orders. This will eliminate the need for employees to constantly track the inventory in each location. Time, manpower and money will all be saved with this implementation. The use of the new system should be maintained by the accounting department. “As a business grows, the approval of purchases shifts predominantly to individuals within the accounting department” (Market Platform Dynamics, 2007). This will allow for multiple orders to be processed at one time thusly saving the company money based upon the volume to be purchased and guarantee the correct products go to the correct locations. This system will most definitely cut down on the errors that were previously done when everything was manually done by employees. The new software will provide an avenue that should lead Kudler Fine Foods into the market as a force to be reckoned…

Payroll does not rely on any information from accounts payable, receivables, or inventory. Enhancements will be made after all four of the systems are implemented and automated. Maintenance should happen during Kudler’s implementation of the other systems to save time and money with enhancements. Accounts payable is the second system that will be automated because Kudler has a system in place. Enhancements will happen after maintenance and implementation of the accounts receivable and inventory systems. Accounts receivable is a new system, so it must be automated from the start and the technology department and accountants must keep an eye on the inputs and outputs to ensure accuracy. Maintenance will be performed if errors are found and enhancements will be made with maintenance improvements. Inventory is the last module to be automated because it requires information from accounts payable and receivable. Maintenance will be performed throughout the implementation of accounts payable and receivables to make sure that proper inventory levels are reported. Enhancements for the inventory system is the last step, but many of these will happen as Kudler changes the accounts payable and receivables…
