Macbeth was convinced that all the prophecies the three weird sisters have spoken of will definatly come true, “ All hail, Macbeth! Hail to thee, Thane of Glamis!” said the first witch, “All hail, Macbeth! Hail to thee, Thane of Cawdor!” the second witch replied, “All hail, Macbeth, that shalt be king hereafter” (Shakespeare, Act 1, Scene 3). It appears that Macbeth was set on making everything happen there was no stopping him. Lady Macbeth allied with her husband in order to gain power and rule all the lands. In the process of getting power Macbeth started to become scared of all the possible consequences, like getting murdered. Even though Lady Mac has been a huge impact in his life, Macbeth had planned everything out and didn’t need a giant push to make things happen like the murder of Duncan. It all comes back to the visit with the three witches, after Macbeth was told he will soon become king he became ruthless. He committed the crimes, he killed Duncan, Banquo, and Macduff’s family, Macbeth clearly wanted to do all of that. Yet Lady Macbeth had an effect on his choices. If it wasn’t for her not pushing Macbeth into killing Duncan, he wouldn't of had the courage to proceed with the others, Banquo and Lady Macduff along with her family.
