1. Interviews play an important role in the hiring process. I believe they allow the employers to see if the applicant can be a potential employee. If Lakeisha gives her friend the questions to the interview not only does that give him at an unfair advantage compared to other applicants but it doesn’t give him the chance to see if he is truly qualified for the job. 2. Every job has different policies when it comes to unethical decisions. Lakeisha could potentially lose her job if her manager finds out. If she doesn’t lose her job she will then become untrustworthy and may appear incompetent to make wise decisions. Her co workers may feel uncomfortable around her and may feel that they cannot rely on her. 3. I think LaKeisha should …show more content…
I am a very hard worker and I don’t like things to be handed to me. So I feel that if I was in Michael’s position I would feel as if I cheated my way into the company if LaKeisha was to give me the questions to the interview. If I was in LaKeisha position I would recommend my friend to review what the position requires, and even do a little research on the company. That would give him an advantage, and show initiative while having a clear conscious.
Case 2:
1. The ethical issue in this case is the temptation Emily is faced with. I also think her company should keep track of the computer donations because it would take away the temptation and also allow them to keep track of who could best use the donations.
2. Emily can potentially lose her job if she takes the computer. She is also denying students access to computer that may help improve their education.
3. I think if Emily really needs a computer she could ask and even offer to pay a low price for a computer that is being donated. Not only is she showing she is honest but also that she is committed to the company.
4. I honestly think no matter how bad I would need a computer I would be to embarrassed to ask my supervisor if I could have one. I am a very prideful person so it would be very hard for me to take a “donation” like that. I would have to pay for it or somehow work to earn the …show more content…
The ethical problem is that Marvin is going against his supervisor’s strict policy and maybe even company policy.
2. If Marvin goes against is supervisor’s policy he could face disciplinary actions or even lose his job.
3. I think Marvin should research the software first to see if it can be beneficial to the company, if his findings are he should ask permission from his supervisor to figure out the software. I also think he should do all this on his own time not on company’s time.
4. I would not use my computer for personal use because I feel that the company is paying me for a certain amount of hours to be dedicated to them. Also if there is ever anything that questions company policy I ask questions. I would rather someone get irritated that I ask a lot of questions then jeopardizing my job.
Case 4: .
1. The ethical problem is using the company copier for personal use. Although the copies are not being kept track of the copier is for the people in her office.
2. Jennie’s decision could jeopardize her job or she could face disciplinary actions.
3. Jennie should ask her supervisor if she could use the copier to make copies for her son and replace the ink that was
