Law and Responsibilities
Write an essay in which you state your personal rights and responsibilities as a citizen of your community or school. Your paper should be approximately two pages. At the end of your essay, give your definition of citizenship.

Every one has rights and responsibilities as a citizen. There are many rights and responsibilities of a U.S citizen. Rights are used to guide the world and give structure in a wildly populated area. Responsibilities are used to also give structure. Responsibilities is the state or fact of having a duty to deal with something. It’s important for U.S citizens to have these rules because of the large population of U.S citizens.

1. There are many rights of a U.S citizen. These are the many rights. The first two rights is the right to vote in federal elections and serve on a jury. The Next two is to bring family members to the United States, obtain citizenship for children born abroad, and travel with a U.S. passport. The last two rights is to run for federal office become eligible for federal grants and scholarships. 2. There are also many different responsibilities of a U.S. citizen. One responsibility is to support and defend the Constitution, serve the country when required, and participate in the democratic process. Other responsibilities are to respect and obey federal, state, and local laws. Another responsibility is to respect the rights, beliefs, and opinions of others, and participate in your local community. 3. Citizenship is important. Citizenship is a legally recognized subject or national of a state or commonwealth, either native or naturalized. In conclusion, these are my rights and responsibilities as a U.S citizen.

    In ways the citizens have responsibilities as well, such as serving on the jury every year, vote and pay taxes.
