Leadership
Among your Learning Resources this week are three articles by Dr. Claudia Fernandez: "Emotional Intelligence in the Workplace," "Employee Engagement," and "The Power of Positive Personal Regard." Review these articles again and choose one of these themes to use as a vantage point from which to assess your current workplace (or, if more appropriate, a previous workplace). Draw on the principles you have learned about in other resources, including this week's video program, "Building an Effective Organization," in making this assessment.
Using the guidelines in the selected article, informally assess your own workplace in this particular area. Then propose changes to improve your organization in this area, using a logic model to help you think through the change process. Because thinking and defining interrelationships is so important, be sure to review the theory of change/program design type of logic model that is described in the Kellogg Foundation's Logic Model Development Guide (http://www.wkkf.org/knowledge-center/resources/2006/02/WK-Kellogg-Foundation-Logic-Model-Development-Guide.aspx). You will find this type of model described briefly on page 9 and then more in depth in Chapter 3 (pp. 27-34), with an example on page 34. In using this model for this assignment, substitute "organization/team" for their "community" references.
Include the following in your paper:
Describe your informal assessment of your organization in one of the following areas, and provide support for this assessment.

Employee engagement

Focusing on the particular theme you select, describe the elements in your organization that are strengths and the elements that need to be changed.
2. Explain how you would change your organization to improve it in this area. What obstacles stand in the way of this change?
If you selected emotional intelligence, explain what you would do to foster an emotionally intelligent organization.
If you selected employee engagement, explain how you
