Legalization of Gay Marriage
Gay marriage, also known as “Same-sex marriage”, is marriage between two persons of the same biological sex and/or gender identity. Legal recognition of same-sex marriage is sometimes referred to as marriage equality or equal marriage, particularly by supporters.
The legalization of Gay marriage have been the most argued issue all around the nation lately. From my point of view, this is a very easy question and it is not necessary to argue about it that much: Gay marriage should definitely be legalized. Let me ask a question: Should our human beings follow the nature commands from our body? I suppose, your answer is: yes. So why should not the gay couples be granted the right to follow the nature and fall in love and finally, get married? Not allowing gay couples choosing their own partner is uncivilized and unmerited. Our civil rights and the Constitution give us many liberties. One of our civil liberties is the pursuit of happiness, which homosexual people are not allowed to chase. They cannot be married to the person they love and it violates their freedoms. Living without the rights to chase their happiness and love, that literally means suffering. Is that what our government want for the gay couples? I suppose the answer is no. Although there are numerous reason that gay couples should be allowed to get married, there are several valid points as to why they technically should be allowed. It is not just based on wanting to be able to wed but, why they actually should get the opportunity to. People may argue that if gay marriage is legalized it will cost more money for taxpayers. However, this is an inaccurate statement. In fact, by allowing gay marriage to be legal it can save money since, “marriage would require them to assume legal responsibility”. It has been supported through studies and shown that gay marriage can affect taxpayers positively. Since this is the case, why is it not allowed if it can actually save money?
