It gives me a lot of pleasure to recommend Mr. Amrit Singh Bains for graduate studies at your esteemed university. During the years of my teaching experience in the present college I have come across a wide spectrum of students considering all of his personal qualities. I would place him among the top 10% of all the students that I have taught. Amrit has been my student for 2 years. I have taught him various subjects in this period, as listed below:
Computer Architecture in V Semester.
Microprocessor Systems in VI Semester.
Amrit is a very sincere and diligent student with sufficient motivation to excel in his chosen field of studies. He has been consistent in his academics, managing to retain his position within the top ten percentile in his class all throughout the eight semesters. His performance in subjects like Microprocessor Systems was exemplary where he managed to be score 74/75 in his theory examination. He has also shown an innovative nature and ability to think from a non-conventional point of view. I have seen a keen urge in him to understand engineering concepts beyond the theoretical purview reflecting his potential for research.
On a personal level Amrit is an ambiguous person showing a lot of enthusiasm for cultural and extra curricular activities. He presented a number of papers at various intercollege events of which one of the papers titled “I-Vote and Outernet Systems” won a third prize at IEEE society’s Paper Presentation Contest. He very diligently undertook a project on ‘Mediated Reality with Flow Control’ during the 7th semester.
Besides academics, Amit showed a keen interest in Computers and is well versed in C, C++ and has an excellent knowledge of Mat Lab creating a number of simulation projects in this regard. He has also shown his adeptness at organizational skills. He has a very amicable disposition making him approachable and easy to communicate with.
I agree with his decisions to pursue graduate
