but nobody ever told you they were the same at all? Also did you ever get the same fears your mom had about America, such as the family you stayed with would make you a slave just like in Pakistan, did any of those things cross your mind? Something I could connect from your life to mine is when you found out your family was blown up. You see it was an average afternoon when I found out my mom’s cousin who she was very close to died in a murder, I will always remember that day because she was speechless and looked so sad the rest of the day. I am connecting this to when your family died because I remember you saying in the book how dazed and confused you felt, how you were speechless and did not know what was happening, just like my mother. The most important lesson that I learned from your book so far is that with a lot of determination will get you what you where you want to be, I am saying this because you would not be in America right now if you didn’t keep on pushing your mom to her limits and really working hard to make your goal. I just wanted to say that with a little help and determination I made my middle schools first pep band.
