Likewise, Albert Einstein describes this relationship between this skill and liberal arts in great detail, “The value of an education in a liberal arts college is not the learning of many factions, but the training of the mind to think something that cannot be learned from textbooks.” I personally admire Albert Einstein more than other historical figure.
Based on what I’ve read about him, he was a man that never gave up even when he was refused admittance to the Zurich Polytechnic School, he still tried until he was admitted, as he still wanted to find a respectable learning place to continue his studies; this inspires me to get out of my comfort zone or the directions my counselors gave me to achieve the best education that I could possibly find, which in this case is the University of Queens at
Charlotte.
In addition, a person who is a good communicator will perform better that his coworkers in his daily work as he would know how to work with his designated team and will be prepared to be an outspoken individual when he has to present results or show a product to an audience, as Dr. Mardy Groethe said, “Words have incredible power. They can make people’s heart soar or they can make people’s heart sore.”
In the same manner, problem solving and pattern intelligence skills would let any person to be prepared to fix fast and efficiently any situation; I am mentally prepared to encounter many problems where I hope to use my creative thinking to find new ways to accomplish my goals.
In conclusion, a liberal arts education would provide me with the best assets to succeed in any career that I wish to follow as I will learn how to use my creativity, communicate my ideas, and solve problems in the most efficient way possible. My vision for my career is not only to work in the medical field, but also to make an impact in the community where I work. I’d like to leave a mark on this earth not by the possessions I accumulate, but by how I changed the lives of the people I’ll have the honor of treating.
