1. Acknowledgements

I would like to thank my parents who have played a major role in my life. I would not be who I am today if not for them. I would also like to thank my grandparents who have helped in raising me. I would lastly like to thank all my friends who have been at my side in time of light and dark.

1. Introduction:
Have you ever wondered if just maybe you had done something differently in the past that your life would be much different now; in the present? Now all you hope is for a successful future; that’s my life. My name is Ilyaaz Tiki I have lived the majority of my life in South Africa, in an area known as Kensington, I am a Muslim and I am seventeen years old I have big dreams for my future and I have all the means to make those dreams a reality.

2. Background:
I am the eldest of five children however for the first eight years of my life I was an only child. My mother is South African, born and raised in Cape Town, and my farther is Moroccan he immigrated here in 1990. My farther is an excellent businessman, he is Arab it’s in his genes, that is one of the positive traits I inherited from him. When I was younger, around the age of five, we moved around a lot with in Cape Town, My grandparents from my mother’s side stayed in Kensington, where I would be most afternoons while my parents were working, my grandfather was very involved in the community and the mosque which also had a school, Hidyatul Islam Primary, it was a private primary school which did all the same subjects as public or private primary school with the added Islamic studies.

3. School Career:
I started at hidyatul primary school in Kensington which my grandfather was the chairman of. I went there for four years. Then in 2005 we moved to Australia were I did grade four. When we came back to South Africa in
