Social media does nothing but help people become “social”. Sure, any person can catch up on the latest drama, find out who just announced their pregnant, or wish their great great great grandma happy birthday, but in reality social media is a waste of time to everyone in the world. This is the instance in many cases of suicide. So many people care for the people who shamefully kill themselves from jumping off a bridge in San Francisco.
