Life is what you make it
Life is what you make it
A little boy called Andy was asked to audition with his classmates for a part in the school play. His mother knew that he had his heart set on being in the play and she was worried about how he would react if he wasn’t chosen.
On the day that the parts were given out, Andy’s mother went to the school to collect him feeling anxious about the outcome.
Seeing his mother Andy rushed up to her, his eyes were shining with pride and excitement. "Guess what Mum," he shouted, and then said the words that can provide a lesson to us all, "I've been chosen to clap and cheer."

Understanding and knowing that you are so much more in control of your lives than you sometimes believe is not only reassuring, it is empowering. The way that you think determines the way that you feel and is the control pad for the volume of happiness that you can experience. The quality of your thinking essentially determines the quality of your life. Think about this ....

Did you know that you have 60 - 80,000 thoughts a day ?
Yesterday I had a thought.
That thought became an emotion
That emotion turned into words, the words fuelled action,
The actions became a habit. My habits are my Character,
My Character defines my destiny.
Today, therefore,
I’ll think about my thoughts a little more.

The power of positive thinking
Thinking positively is not about putting your head in the sand, nor is it about being unrealistic. By developing a positive attitude you still recognise the negative aspects of a situation, however you choose to focus on the hope and opportunity that is available. This approach helps you to avoid getting locked into a paralysing loop of bad feeling and allows you to move on quickly and take action to solve problems and embrace life’s challenges of which we inevitably experience. This quote says it all!

“Whether you are an optimist or a pessimist might not affect the
outcome,

But hey, just look on the bright side. I mean it’s always darkest before the dawn. If you dream it, you can do it. Watch. No? Oh well. America today is decidedly and unwaveringly optimistic, we are positive thinkers. Positive thinking is defined by one of its leading advocates, Dr. Charlene Proctor as “the process of choosing positive emotions to create an outlook that translates into a new or better-chosen reality.” In short, our thoughts and attitude can affect the course of the outside world, so we should strive to be positive to reap positive outcomes, while stifling negativity for the opposite reason. We praise the optimist while shunning the pessimist. But the question is does every cloud have a silver lining? In order to show positive thinking as the dangerous paradigm that it is we will first examine the causes of positive thinking, move onto its effects, and then finally round out with solutions.…

Rodolfo Costa once said; “Cultivate an optimistic mind, use your imagination, always consider alternatives, and dare to believe that you can make possible what others think is impossible” (Goodreads). Remaining positive has always held an important role in my life. I strive to find positives in every negative situation, and remember that I can always learn something from it. Sometimes changing the way you view a situation can make all the difference. Even through times where I have had every reason to give up, I have chosen to keep a positive attitude. I have found that when I decide to do this, it makes me significantly happier, and I take much more away from the situation.…

“Thinking positive thoughts will always empower you! Do it enough and it will change your life!” This quote is from Timothy Pina who in 2003 had a near-death experience which changed him. He is now a successful author who has devoted his time to writing children's fiction, poetry, and screenplays to help other people realize the importance of overcoming life obstacles. Having a positive attitude like Timothy Pina is the best response to conflict because there is a greater chance of the conflict ending peacefully and people moving on to improve their lives. This is very important because in our current lives we should try and avoid violence as much as possible.…

Positive thinking is very important; I will consider it critically important if a person want to reach to the psychological comfort. Positive thinking means approaching life's challenges with a positive outlook. It does not necessarily mean avoiding or ignoring the bad things; instead, it involves making the most of potentially bad situations, trying to see the best in other people, and viewing yourself and your abilities in a positive light.…
