That dream came true in 2002 when she signed a contract with Casablanca Records. She didn’t forget about her acting career though. She was cast in the movie Freaky Friday where she won MTV’s award Best Breakthrough Actress. She also contributed to the movie’s soundtrack . In 2004 Lindsay starred in one of her biggest hits Mean Girls written by Tina Fey. This movie put Lindsay in the spotlight. In 2005 she released her album Speak, which went platinum. Lindsay then played the leading role in Herbie Fully Loaded which was her last big hit before her career started to take a downwards spiral (Wang).
