injuries. Travis ended up with a few broken bones, and the one friend that survived had minor cuts and scratches. Lisa landed up not being able to finish her Junior year of high school or attend for senior year. Lisa spent about two months in the hospital, but after being released she was still in some very bad conditions. “I had to have three surgeries before being released, I had to have two on my leg and one for my ribs. The broken ribs almost punctured my lungs.” Lisa stated. “I knew he was gone when I woke up and my mother was arguing with his parents. Broken ribs, sprained neck, and a broken leg, and she was still fighting with people. Later I was told he passed and that I was lucky to live walking away my other friend walked away with a few bumps and bruises.” Lisa, stated that moment she know that her close friend did in fact pass away. Travis was the driving at the time of the accident, the family chose to sue for the lose of their son. The the other friends parents did not sue or anything of that sort.
Lisa was out for the rest of her junior year, and homeschool for the whole senior year. She had to finish her Junior year, but they let her do it over the summer in a homeschooling system.
