*The first thing I remember about my childhood reading is my mom putting up this tent in my room and she just read a bunch of story books to me and we spent all day in that tent in my bedroom.
*It wasn’t until fourth grade I was introduced to mystery books. There was a bookstore at my school and one of my friends convinced me to get a book I thought was really weird, but then I read it and it ended up being one of my favorite books. After the exhilarating experience of going on the adventure of May Bird, I wanted to read more and more mystery books. I found that I also loved action books, Cracker.
*When I was younger you would always find me with a book….probably because my dad said that for every page I read he would give me a penny…so I would always be reading to get money!
*When I would spend the night with my sister she would always read books before she went to bed and I would draw a picture or pretend to read also…now I have to read a book in order to be able to fall asleep and that brings back to when I was little and always saw my sister reading and me falling asleep to her lamp shining brightly and her leaned up against the wall reading the next greatest Romantic novel.
*Reading in the car on my way to soccer games…”dad always saying readers are leaders” this encouraged me to want to read even more.
Books that have stuck with me:
*Authentic Beauty- My sister gave me this book and it helped me a lot because I learned through it how I should treat guys, or act around them so they will treat me well. And It has helped me to not settle and have greater expectations for guys.
*The Hunger Games Series- definitely one of the best books I have ever read because I have never actually read a whole series and the book was just perfect for me because I loved the action and adventure
*Maze Runner-Action
