I completely agree with this because life is definitely not always going to be how you want it to be. For instance, when you are going through life and it consists of turns and loops but it will always lead back into a positive point through time. When you’re on this so-called “rollercoaster” it is yourself that decides how thrilling or frightening your life is going to be. An example would be Michael Jordan in high school. During Michael Jordan’s sophomore year in high school he got kicked out the basketball team. This would unfortunately be a “down” for him on his “life rollercoaster”. But little did that coach know he became the best basketball player and athlete on the planet. So while Michael was going “up” on his rollercoaster, I know for sure that the coach definitely regretted his decision from cutting him from the team. This type of motivation should inspire the world to do great things and be the best that they can even though someone is telling you that you can’t do it. In other words never give up on what you love doing. Overall everybody has there ups and downs throughout life and when you are in the down part of life just know that there will be loop that will put you back up top of the…
“If you don’t speak up, people will take advantage of you”(Simon 43). This quote is the best definition of what life really is. In life if you do not speak for yourself, people will push you around and take advantage of you. If you want something done right in this world, you have to do it yourself. Depending on others is what others want, but that dependency will take over your life and it will become something that is not yours anymore.…
Therefore, this hackneyed statement devalues beneficial statements like the motto used by the Traveling Symphony, “Survival is Insufficient.” The versatility of this quote is abounding. In all facets of life, this quote can be applied. According to this statement, the stagnancy of life should not be endured, it should be used as motivation to project the best possible versions of ourselves. Whatever we may find ourselves partaking in, this quote reminds us to find the courage within ourselves to contribute to something in the best conceivable way. This quote also stresses the importance of finding your personal calling. Whether it be a ditch digger or leading a Fortune 500 company, this quote empowers everyone to make the most of themselves. In the age of tolerance, we find ourselves suppressing our true feelings and desires. The insufficiency of this existence is not what we were made to do. We are supposed to trail blaze new paths and constantly reinvigorate ourselves to make our university, our town, our state, our nation, our world the best it can possibly…

Nothing about life is easy; you work, you try, and sometimes you fail regardless of your efforts. Some people believe in reincarnation, others in some form of an afterlife, and some believe you only have one life. Believing that you’re only able to live one life could benefit the person because they take that idea and they accept it. In that acceptance they choose to live everyday as if it were there last, so that by their last breath they can say they had a good life, even with the many struggles and heartache. Most people live with the belief that we only have one life; although life is a gift with endless possibilities, it's…
Ebert said, “I know it is coming, and I do not fear it, because I believe there is nothing on the other side of death to fear” (54). Ebert did what made him happy all the time but once he knew he was dieing that motivated him even more to live his life. Ebert says you know that death is coming so instead of fearing it and rushing to make your life worth living you should just embrace death and make everyday meaningful. When you die you will actually be at peace with yourself.…
We should be determined to live for something. May I suggest that it be creating joy for others, sharing what we have for the betterment of person-kind, bringing hope to the lost and love to the lonely -Leo Buscaglia.” This quote is very special because I relate to this by giving those people gifts that were unexpected creates joy for them, when they get it so it brings hope to other people when they see kindness in this world happening right in front of them, because in the modern world there isn’t that much kindness.…

Life is a gift that we need to appreciate everyday no matter what your situation is. Misusing it will make you regret it later in the future and you will not be able to take that time back. In the excerpt by steve jobs from his 2005 Commencement Address at Stanford…
Thoreau has stated that he “wishes to live deliberatelyâ€Â. Although I had thought about what is my purpose of living, I didn’t get a consequence of how should I really achieve it. Since I was in middle school, I decided to study Mass communication in my future. I like media; I like the way people press news and make connections for all over the world. But after I read Thoreau’s opinions of our life, I just realized that I have to do something for my goal. To conceive what your life is going to be is an important element of living deliberately. I have to make plan about how do I achieve my goal; I have to pay more attention on the details of my life in order to achieve my goal.…
“Dream as if you’ll live forever, live as if you’ll die today.” I chose to put this quote on my paper bag because it is a quote that I believe everyone should live by, and it is also my life’s motto. I also chose to decorate this bag with fall leafs for two reasons. One, because fall begins on September 22nd, and two, fall is one of my favorite seasons. Now I will show you a few things that both describe me and are most important to me.…
Though we, luckily, are not faced with the same life-or-death dilemma presented to Socrates, this quote can relate to those in modern society. There are an infinite number of questions and answers pertaining to life, and how it is valued. Like many philosophical subjects, these questions and answers are entirely subjective. From a personal point of view, I tie Socrates’ quote with that of famous trainer Greg Anderson: “Focus on the journey, not the destination. Joy is found not in finishing an activity but in doing it.” [ii]…
We are never promised the honor to live the next day; we are never guaranteed tomorrow. You can not live regretting your decisions. You must live in the moment or the moment is wasted. The one you love more than words could describe could be gone tomorrow; the reason they are gone could get locked up. Lose focus and look away, what you turned to see can be the last thing you saw before you life flashes before your eyes. Your next breath you take in could be your last. We all realize these things at our own pace; we all have experiences that open our eyes to reality; mine were all crammed into one dramatic week. “Everything happens for a reason, but I think it's important to seek out that reason - that's how we learn” as said…
We must face our life everyday as a new beginning. We must thank God that we our alive and he gave us another day to use to have a new adventure, to correct our wrongs from another day, to make someone happy and to make your life more…
