Living conditions before, during and after the industrial revolution
The living conditions were good and bad depending on whom you asked. If you questioned a Politician, a very rich person or an entrepreneur the answer would be, life is good and the living conditions are excellent and luxurious. But when you ask a poor person …show more content…
They would sell some of their harvest to create small profits witch they would use to buy cotton, coal or fruits and vegetables. When villages turned into towns, which evolved into small cities then into an immense industrialised city, those villager/s came to the city thinking of work they need to sustain their families. When this happened factory owners/ entrepreneurs realised that they can make a lot of money from employing lots of children and women, make them work long hours and give them little salary. This met that the rich got richer and the poor got poorer. And the living conditions for the immense number of poor people got worse and worse.
During & After
As the Rich got richer the improvements in the living conditions of the poor did not change much. Lots of the poor lived in small houses (usually with 2 rooms, a window and I door) some research suggests that they were 9 persons living in the house at once. Most rich business individuals did not care for the welfare of their poor employees, as they would see it as lost incomes. However there were some entrepreneurs (usually Christian) that would try and make sure their employees have a decent life. One person who was like this
