Besides that, there aren’t many people live in a small town. Mostly people who live in a small town know each other. They are more friendly and care to others. Small towns give me the opportunity of receiving help when I need it. The other reason is about the nature. The environment in the small town is great. People always say that living in a large city is a great quality, they like it because it let them get a lot of benefits; in my opinion, every place has its drawbacks; there is no perfect place that we can say: “It is formidable”. In the other hand, they are people who hate living in a large city, and they prefer the small one. As far as I live in Raleigh, I do not like it due to three reasons: change of weather, few means of transportation, and quiet life.…

Some people believe it’s better to grow up in a small town. Other people think it’s better to grow up in a big city. My position on this would be growing up in a small town because you can go around and meet the people in that town and make sure you can trust them and not have to worry about people sneaking around trying to find something they can steal from you.…

Growing up in a Small Town

The first significant impact small town living had on me was a healthy diet. Most land in the town is farmed for fruits and vegetables, so when you drive the roads you often see what looks like seas of bright red strawberries. Along with hundreds of peach trees which are lined in perfect rows. Farmers will allow you to pull off and pay for a basket that you can fill with fruit you pick yourself. I can still recall the feeling of a wooden basket being so weighed down with fruit it created red patches on my skin where I gripped the handle. You leave the fields with hair smelling so strong of strawberries you will swear you used a shampoo. In addition to picking fresh fruits, hunting your own game is popular in small towns. It is not uncommon to hear the crackle of a fire in your neighbors yard as they grill their fresh caught fish. With such an abundance of produce and meat families typically cook at home. America has an obesity epidemic, and a lot of it has to do with the convenience of fast foods. As a child growing up in a small town, we did not have fast food restaurants in our area. If you wanted something from a drive thru, it meant driving at least half an hour each way. Which I felt was annoying as a child now I see it gave me…

Living in a small town and living in a large city both present benefits of their location. However, I personally like to live in a small town more. There are certain aspects and qualities that one just cannot possess when living in a large city. In contrast, there are certain benefits to living in a large city. Therefore, it is impossible to choose a place of perfection. One simply has to give up certain qualities to achieve the others. Convenience is the most beneficial factor to living in a large city. Large cities are usually more industrial and advanced. All utilities can be found in a large city with the least effort and time. For instance, when living a large city, if one desires to buy a computer, he or she simply has to go to a nearby shopping center and chooses the one he or she is interested in. In a small town, it is more probable that he or she has to travel a much farther distance. Therefore, living in a large city definitely has its own benefits.…
