Living on campus vs. Living off campus.
High school years has already become a history, college life is next. Living in college life is completely a brand new one for those who never gone to boarding schools. Once he/she start the college life, he/she must decide to choose whether to live in campus or off-campus. Well, most of the college’s students nowadays chose to live on campus. Plus, students that goes to a college or a university that is far away from their hometown, they will have to choose where to live. I must say that living on campus and off-campus has its own perks. However, one must decide wisely and make a research on the differences living on campus or off-campus. . These four types of accommodation vary in cost, convenience, sense of responsibility and level of privacy.
First of all, on campus housing and off-campus housing differ in cost. Living on campus in a college, the houses or apartments has been given free for their students, although some other college served a low cost payment for the students. By mean that those students have no room to negotiate the prices. In addition, the price of food also different. A student who lives on campus has to be more independent to find their source of food every day, unless they’re living with their parents. Students who live on campus usually do not have access to a kitchen, so they are often required to purchase food or meal plans on campus. In contrast, living off-campus obviously, sometime is a good idea, which students never have to use their own money to buy foods, which is already prepared by the parents. However, all scholars have to live on- campus , because all those fees and apartment payment has been included into their scholarships.
