Logistic regression analysis revealed that physicians in psychiatry or emergency medicine departments received more violent threats and sexual harassment than physicians in other departments. (J Occupational Health 2015; 57: 540–547)
The causes of ED violence is complex, complicated and such violence event cannot be prevented effectively with preventive equipment. Several recent studies have mentioned physicians’ characteristics that were correlated with the experience EDV. These natures include not only limited at age, gender, races and tenure at a hospital side worker but also the depended on patients, family, society and government side.
The national survey results from U.S.A at EDV mentioned that most of emergency medicine physicians effected and suffered from EDV sequel. The hospital settings supported only a smaller number of violence preventive workshops, knowledge, drill and self-defence
