'Lord Of The Flies' By William Golding

I am currently reading Lord of the Flies by William Golding, and I am on page 185. This book is about a group of British schoolboys that were shot down. These kids end up stranded on an uninhabited island. Without an adult, these boys have to use their skills and knowledge to survive. In their attempts to survive the boys show their true colors. They show how humans are not always nice. In this journal, I will be predicting and evaluating.

It is hard to know if a group of children will survive on their own. Even when they are mysteriously shot down on an island. This is why in the book Lord of the Flies by William Golding it is challenging to figure out if they will survive or not. One side of my prediction is that they will not survive.
I say this because they are a group of schoolboys. They have never been without an adult for this long before, anything can go wrong. They probably do not know what to do first. Next, there is no supervision on this island. They have nobody to turn to, and they probably do not know basic survival skills. This allows them to do anything that would not be done around adults. This could be absolutely terrible. Finally, the kids will not survive because of the boy’s attitudes, and thoughts. Right now everyone is worried that they will never be saved; however, if they put their differences aside it might be better. They do not like to listen to the others, and this will be their downfall. Even though they might not survive, they could find a way to get off the island. First, they will survive because they are in a group. They are a big group of schoolboys, and if they put their minds to it they can accomplish anything. They are Ralph and Jack. These two have shown many qualities, but I believe these qualities set them apart. The first reason why I believe Ralph will be the main leader is that people like him. From what I have read the mass group of people tend to attract towards him, they always listen to what he has to say. He also treats others with more respect, he listens to their ideas. Another reason why Ralph is a good leader is that of his determination. He is determined to make the group of boys move forward. Unlike Jake hunting, Ralph does things like making a fire and huts. These things also serve a purpose. The fire is used for attracting people, and the huts provide many things necessary for life. Finally, Ralph is very organized. He is on top of things, and he never lets things go out of control. When he is around things get done, and he knows a lot about survival. While Ralph possesses great qualities as a leader, Jack is a good one too. First Jack is very strong. He is very physical and he knows how to do many things with his strength. One of these things is hunting. This is something that Ralph is not very good at. Another reason why Jack should be a leader is that he is very persuasive. He knows how to get people to do things in his favor. In this situation it is to hunt, that is all he cares about. Finally, Jack has a lot of confidence.
