5. Market Opportunities. Incentives for Food Retailers: this program provides funding, planning assistance; expedite permits, tax credits, and energy discounts to eligible stores, restaurants and producers of fresh food in the underserved areas of south Los Angeles (http://clkrep.lacity.org/).
6. Los Angeles Fast Food Moratorium: under this initiative government places one year of prohibition on new fast food restaurants in south and southeast LA, which allowed the Community Redevelopment Agency of Los Angeles to develop the healthy grocery stores and restaurants.
7. Los Angeles Certified Green Business program: This program is designed by Environmental Affairs Department of Los Angeles to create green business certification for the restaurants and hotels which meets the set environmentally sustainable operating criteria
