We all know that plays and movies are going to have their similarities and differences. Macbeth is a legendary Shakespearean play written by William Shakespeare himself. We all know what happened to Macbeth in the play yet do we know the movie of Macbeth 2015.
One of the tragic and gory similarity would have to be when Macbeth is killing Duncan while he is in bed. For we know this because Macbeth is told by witches that he will be King once Duncan is dead and well Lady Macbeth is fascinated by this that she calls Macbeth a coward and not manly if does not do the deed.
Another similarity would have to be that Macbeth hires murderers to kill Banquo and his son Fleance, for the murderers kill Banquo yet Fleance gets away. For once Banquo …show more content…
is killed his ghost comes to haunt Macbeth at his dinner and to make him look crazy and ill to be a King. Macbeth also sends these murderers to Macduff’s home to kill him for Macbeth doesn’t know that Macduff isn’t there.
Finally, Macduff runs to England to gather an army to defeat Macbeth. Once they arrive at Dunsinane Hill; Macbeth and Macduff began to battle. Macduff finally gets the upper hand and defeats Macbeth by cutting off his head. Many risked their lives in this battle, for they knew what they were getting into.
Differences come in many different shapes and styles for Macbeth there are a bunch in the movie. First of all, at the very beginning the four witches are at a funeral where a child is being burned. This is a major difference for there are four witches and one of them is small girl who is mostly in charge and also in the middle of the movie the witches are carrying a baby with them.
Second Macbeth doesn’t live in a castle in the beginning before he becomes King, he lives in a small town in the church. Lady Macbeth talks to spirits when she prays in the church. When Macbeth kills Duncan he lies next to his dead corpse and Malcolm comes in on Macbeth who has blood all over his hands. Macbeth tells Malcolm the Prince of Cumberland to leave or the same will come upon him.
Finally, when it comes down to it Macbeth meets up with the witches one last time and they give him blood to drink.
Macbeth sends his hired murderers to Macduff’s castle to kill his wife and children. The murderers bring back Macduff’s wife and children and Macbeth burns them to death. Lady Macbeth starts to go crazy for when she realizes that the blood is still on her hands from Duncan, she travels back to the church where she talked to spirits and is seen talking to a little boy. As she returns back to the castle she finds the witches and see’s them for the first time. For Macbeth he is getting ready to go into battle one last time, Macduff and his army burn Birnam Wood as the sneak upon Macbeth’s land. As Macduff and Macbeth begin to fight to the death, the witches appear to see who is going to win this battle. For both men they both die at battle, and a little boy shows to take Macbeth’s sword out of the ground and bring it to the crowning of Malcolm becoming the new King of Scotland.
As we all know movies and plays are really different, for Macbeth the differences were quite extreme. From the witches to the killing we see multiple differences that are not telled in the play. Yet all in all they are both great attributes to Macbeth and for
Shakespeare.
