I feel that Mad Keen Motors has very experienced and a creative leader since this is a privately owned family business. The business model is well developed and researched by the family and the families employees because everyone in the business helps to work to improve what can be done to better improve the quality of the business. accurately targeted because they are contacting many different age groups via the internet, the news, and word of mouth. They believe that the type of car a person owns can tell a lot about that particular person, such as the fact that new car owners are more likely to take their cars back to where they were bought other than using the company’s garage repair service.
However, most of these owners take pride in their cars and will bring them to the company often for the wash and valet services. Older luxury car owners are people who have owned their high end luxury car for many years but do not have the funds to buy a brand new luxury car, so they take great pride in keeping their older car well maintained and in the best shape possible. Sports car owners pride themselves on the looks of their cars, if their cars a damaged in any way they will want the repairs done as soon as it is possible for the garage to fix them. If they like the services this customers will continue to have repairs done at the garage. Lifetime owners are people that have owned their cars for more than five years. These people are more than likely women that are attached to their cars. They will continue to have their repairs done at the garage, these people are known as old faithful.
I feel that they have a good mix of personal, services they offer, and the right marketing mix.
They provide many different services. Since the company started as a single mechanical repair shop and has now grown to five locations that deal with body and mechanical car repairs, vehicle storage and towing, washing and valeting, and used car sales in the last 35 years. In a family business that has run for 35 years it is safe to say that the leaders of the company have more than likely grown up with the company in their life’s even before they were co owners so they would understand the appropriate leadership structures and cultures, portray the appropriate leadership and management style, and understand how to use resources
effectively.
Opportunities
Demand will always be increasing because the number of cars is increasing. The existing product range can be widened to target more people as they increase the number of locations, they currently have 5 locations are aim to open more locations to provide their customers with more services. The companies R&D skills can help them to better understand where there is more of a need for their services and where they are not needed. They will need to go off of the customers responses in order to know where they need to improve their services and what they are thriving at. In any company there is always room for improvements. Employees can help to play a major roll of decreasing costs and improving product quality. There will always be opportunities to expand in any business that is doing well as long as you are able to expand to where these services will be needed.
The only weaknesses or threats they may run into in the future is that there is more than one owner and what would happen if that one person would want to leave the company and sell of his part in the business. It would no longer be a family owned business and it would be at risk for being over taken by a bigger company.
