Mom And Pop Store Interview Report
Meet Sandy Tramaglino, founder, owner, and creative genius behind Creative Expressions, the new handcrafted goods shop in Old Colorado City. I had the privilege of sitting down with Sandy over a cup of coffee for a laugh filled interview on her Mom & Pop store.

What led you to open your own store?

I've always been an entrepreneur. I've run the gamut of business, from direct sales to supplement my family's income, to opening up a karaoke store, Starbuilders. I love to sing and frequently went to the local karaoke bar but was frustrated with the customer service I was getting, so I opened my own store. It was a success! I learned how to order wholesale, offered the customer service I knew I would want to receive, and worked doing something I loved. Unfortunately, after four years, I had to close due to illness. Later I worked in the mortgage industry for thirteen years before stepping aside to take care of my mother.

What is the vision you have for your Mom & Pop store?

To provided handcrafted goods and quality customer service.

I want to bring America back to quality customer service. I grew up watching my dad work in his upholstery shop, I saw him be a boss. I noted how he listened to the customer. My goal is to offer that level of customer service in my shop.
