Madrassa system of education is providing religious education in Pakistan for many years. For some students, the only source of formal education is Madrassas, while they are serving supplementary for others. However, the perceptions of students towards Madrassas carry a great significance.
For this study a sample of 30 students was randomly selected and data were collected through questionnaires. The data were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. Non parametric test chi-square was used for statistical analysis.

It is a building where Islamic or religious teaching learning takes place. Madrassa education system is one of the three separate education systems working in Pakistan. Private, public and Madrassa education systems are running side by side.
Pakistani Madrassa education system is highly criticized in western world as to them it promotes extremism in the name of Jihad. They connect Pakistani Madrassas with terrorism and extremism. Putting aside all these issues, our main focus is that certain initiatives should be taken to introduce modern education in the Madrassa education system to bring them into main stream.
