Two Tips – 1. Always have someone else read it to make sure it makes sense. 2. Always use strong details and clear examples…
As my career progress the type of writing that will use would be more research based. When writing a paper formatting, grammar, spelling and content is important, because it provides clarity to the readers and structure of what is the writer’s point of view. Correctly placing a comma or the misspelling of a word can change the whole meaning of a sentence. For example, Let's drink mom vs. Let's drink, mom; the game is at ate vs. The game is at eight, these slight changes give the sentence…
Sentence structure: Incorrect sentence structure will make you look unprofessional. Punctuation: Without punctuation you would not be able to express your feelings in writing not to mention know when to pause or stop or ask a question. Spelling: If information got spelling errors, the chances of the reader loosing trust in you or your organisation.…
Good writing includes a number of elements. You must have good ideas. You must use good grammar (e.g. don’t use contractions). It is generally helpful to include a subject and verb in every sentence. Each paragraph should only contain one basic thought.…

In English 1A I am beginning to understand how to enjoy writing. One fatal flaw I previously had in my writing process was that I tried to write the near final draft the first time, it was a slow and tedious process, that made my despise writing. The tool I used to overcome this is freewriting- being able to just throw out hundreds of words in short amount of time with ease is such a relief when it comes to write an assignment like these. Plenty of my free write words don't ever make into my final paper, but just free writing with no limitations is actually fun. I recall how enjoyable it was to write for the genre paper. The genre paper did it feel like work and I managed to create many great ideas. Freewriting is also useful because the lack…
Thinking of creative ways on how to develop my paper is a strong suit I benefit while taking on a writing assignment. When given a topic to write about, I write down what comes into my head. I do not worry about the word count if the sentences make sense on paper or even punctuation. I write to avoid forget any important points I might have thought of. This method of writing is where my weaknesses show. Sometimes what I wrote makes sense in my head, but not on paper. Other challenges I face with writing assignments are time management and punctuation.…

One of the biggest challenges that might arise when I’m writing a paper are the errors that I would do in my words by miss spelling them, and the error that I sometimes write one thing, and my mind it thinking another thing. I also make a lot of error in my spelling because I think I wrote the word right and when I read over I see I wrote the words wrong. The second big error I make is that I don’t write a very good topic sentence, it takes me a long time to write a topic sentence or the main topic. I try to write a good main topic, and I take a long time trying to think about a good main topic. I write a couple of main topics, and I pick the one they sound best to me, but when I turn it in to the instructor it’s not a really good main topic.…
My writing has many flaws I have known that since I started writing. But out of all the problems that I have always had, the one that bothers me the most is that I know I am not producing the best work I can possibly get out. I have always been confident in my thoughts and ideas, but every time I starting writing them down they never seem to be able to go the way I want them to go.…
Writing in general is not one of my strong suits. It is difficult to highlight my strengths as I feel most of my writing shows off my weaknesses. However, it is extremely important for me to better my writing skills so I can reach my ultimate goal of earning my bachelor’s degree in business marketing. I have almost failed English class, on more than one occasion, because I could not grasp punctuation and where to put something as simple as a comma.…
As I sit here now writing this journal, I can’t help but feel how brilliantly ironic it is to write a whole journal on the topic of how I write. Besides that though, I guess I should begin. Writing, for me, has always been somewhat of a friend and a home. It’s been a companion through dark times, and a place I could go no matter how I was feeling. I have a deep love of the written word, and a great respect for anyone who puts pen to paper. (Or, in the new age of “handy-dandy” Chromebooks, anyone who puts keys to Google Docs.) That all being said, I have mixed feelings on how I view myself specifically. I think in my many years of jotting down random short stories and poetry, I have developed a strong grasp of all the traits of writing. On the other hand though, I definitely think there are still areas of my writing that could be improved.…
Throughout my writing career, I have observed several aspects with the potential to shape any writer’s success. Among the elements, the most influential of them is the English course in which the student enrolls. Moreover, English courses hold influence over a student’s life in that they have a responsibility to either advance or reduce the writer’s skills. The progress in my writing development began when English II guided me through noticing worth in my writing, finding pride in a strength, and appreciating positive aspects of the course.…
