Major Events Of The 1920s

Throughout the history of America not many decades are as popular as the twenties. There are many things that contribute to the fame of the twenties. Such as the traditions and customs that began also the many revolutionary ideas that caught the attention of many historians not to mention all the major events that toke place that still fascinate till date. The twenties played a major rule in American history because during that time many events occurred that are still fascinating till date, also this was the period that many of our customs and traditions were formed, but it was also the beginning of many revolutionary ideas that really caught our attention. During the twenties many fascinating events happened that still surprises our society till date. One of the examples of this is the fixing of the World Series. Even though there is no concrete evidence of the crime nor the slightest idea about who did it but the proof that it was fixed is strongly believed by historians of our age. Another one of the events that happened was the start of Miss America. The reason Miss America was so important was at that time in history women and young girls did not have any thing to do in life except get married and have babies. The last of the events that really fascinate the society to date
is the musician Harry Houdini he not only was he the best musician of his time he is the best musician to ever live even till now we don’t know how he pulled off some of his tricks. So those are just a few of the things that fascinate our society till date. During the twenties many traditions and customs were born into society that we still practice.
One of the major customs born in the twenties was the building up which gave birth to skyscrapers. Also women started cutting their hair short in the twenties it was called bobbed hair. The Ziegfeld follies started there own trend of dancing that is copied by many dancers of recent for example the show girls in Vegas and the rock heads. The last of the major customs that was started in the twenties is the production of movies were people actually talk before that in movies people did not talk they just acted. So those are some of the major customs that was started in the
twenties. The twenties were the beginning of many revolutionary ideas that caught or eyes. One of those things was the flappers. The flappers were important since at that time they were trying to prove to the world that anything a man could they could to like smoking and cutting their hair short. Also skyscrapers were the beginning of highly populated areas since more people could live in one area without having to have a large area of land. Those are some of the revolutionary things that happened in the twenties. So as you can see the twenties deserved it nick name (the roaring twenties). Even though there are more points of interest on the twenties since it was a wild decade since a lot of things were going on these are the few that I believed popped out to me the most
