Kesha Rose Sebert is a singer/song writer that was born on March 1, 1987 in Los Angeles, California (biography.com). Kesha’s goal is to promote respect, protection, and compassion for animals with the help of the Human Society. According to the Humane Society, Kesha has become the first global ambassador of the Humane Society International (HSI). The recent cause that Kesha has done was to promote “Be Cruelty-Free” which means that to use cosmetic products that are not tested on animals. To spread her love of animals, Kesha has taken social media to tell and inform her fans and other people to help stop animal abuse and testing on animals. Kesha has stated “My music is inspired by the freedom and primal beauty of animals and the natural world (HSI). Kesha and her mother, Pebe Sebert, have been very outspoken on social media by posting petitions about different animal abuse that are happening around the world. Kesha was awarded the Wyler Award at the humane Society of the United States Genesis Award event in 2013 (hsi.org). Malala and Kesha are both activist and they focus on one of the most talked about issues that is happening around the world.
Malala is an activist for female education and Kesha is an activist for animal rights. Both women have been rewarded for what they have done for the issues. Malala has won a Nobel Peace Prize and Kesha has been rewarded the Wyler Award from the Humane Society of the United States.
